Relay helps people connect through low-key events that foster conversation and possibility.
Do you ever feel stuck?
Maybe you want to move to a new phase, get an idea going, discover something meaningful, find new friendships or just get inspired.
Sometimes books, movies or social media can help. But often, connecting with other people is the only way to get us where we need to go.
That can be hard. Relay makes it easier.
Sometimes books, movies or social media can help. But often, connecting with other people is the only way to get us where we need to go.
That can be hard. Relay makes it easier.
What Relay offers:
- Themed “not-networking” events to create real conversations about real ideas, not just trading business cards or social media follows.
- Creativity-building sessions and activities.
- Custom problem-solving workshops.
- Group discussion facilitation.
- Your idea here: What would help you?
More about Relay
The kind of connection you need
Sometimes all you need is a conversation that clarifies or inspires. Other times you need to discover a deeper collaboration that grows over time. Relay helps kindle these connections during themed activity sessions. Then you decide what to do with them.

A fix for loneliness
Despite our hyper-connected, always-on world, many of us feel lonely. In May, the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness an epidemic as deadly as smoking, while social isolation increases risks for anxiety and depression. Relay can help you meet people and connect in purposeful ways.

A chance to surprise yourself
RSVP, show up, throw yourself in, and see what happens! Let yourself be a little vulnerable so you can get stronger. Relay is in early testing stages. During this phase, events are free. We'll ask you for candid feedback so we can evolve. As Relay grows, we may add paid elements, events and packages for businesses

Meet MeDiane Davis OtterI’ve been a team leader and manager for 25+ years at media organizations including The Associated Press; NBC; AOL; and A+E Networks. The best part of every job has been helping colleagues develop their own ideas and passions.
People have always needed each other to grow. But after the pandemic, I saw a need to help people learn how to talk together in meaningful, directed ways, in person as much as possible. In hosting and organizing some community events for women’s events, I saw people making surprising connections that changed lives, and ended up having lasting influence. It was great. I wanted to do more of that. |
